Multi-Media Nature Arts Workshop- Make and Take Canvas for Earth Day!!

from 10.00

If there is one thing that has been clear across the weeks of Deep Roots Nature School, it’s that our kids love to have the opportunity to express themselves artistically using Nature’s Bounty! The Earth provides endless opportunities to create magical artistic expression with everything from natural dyes and paints to handmade paintbrushes with various textures.

What better day to celebrate the beauty of creation than Earth Day? April 22nd at 9:00 am it’s a morning of creating in honor of creation!

We’ll provide everything for our Nature Friends to construct, mix, mash, blend, and (ultimately) create a canvas masterpiece to celebrate all that they love about Nature…. and Nature School :-) You can work as a family or each child can have their very own 11 x 14 canvas. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and maybe even a picnic lunch in case the creativity just keeps flowing!

Location: Lakeland Highlands Scrubs

Most of us spend far less time outside in natural spaces than people did several generations ago. According to a growing body of research, time in nature is linked to lower levels of stress hormones, reduced anxiety, and lower incidence of depression. Children and adults both benefit from stepping outside and bathing in the natural sensory experience.

The woods is a blank canvas for meaningful family adventures!
